Several Halvorsen Foundation members will be participating in the Civil Air Patrol Utah Wing Conference on March 11th, 2023. The yearly conference will be held at the Miller Events Center at the Salt Lake Community College campus in South Jordan, Utah. The Foundation will have an informational display in the exhibit area about STEM and Gail Halvorsen, the Rocket Scientist.
The Civil Air Patrol (CAP) in Utah has had a strong connection to the Candy Bomber story for many decades. Gail Halvorsen was one of the first pilots to join CAP in the opening days of WWII following the attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941. The Foundation is proud to partner with CAP to inspire local youth.
