Our Mission
Inspired by the legacy of Colonel Gail S. Halvorsen, we unite generations to inspire hope, honor service, and advance education—proving that even small acts of kindness can lift the world.
We strive to preserve the legacy of the Berlin Candy Bomber, Colonel Gail S. Halvorsen.
Gail was a humanitarian, a rocket scientist, a military leader, an educator, and one of America’s notable informal Ambassadors. A true international hero, Gail lived a life focused on serving others.
He exemplified the values of attitude, gratitude, service before self, and excellence. When the challenging times of the early Cold War came, Gail began a large-scale humanitarian effort that healed the animosity that was felt between former enemies.
The Candy Bomber Foundation continues to inspire all generations to engage in small acts of kindness worldwide to bring
HOPE through ACTION.
