Denise Halvorsen Williams is a Trustee of the Candy Bomber Foundation, offering a unique blend of artistic excellence and heartfelt commitment to her father’s legacy. Raised in Berlin, she studied German at the Goethe–Institut and earned a master’s degree in fine arts while honing her skills as an accomplished musician. As the co-author of The Candy Bomber: Untold Stories of the Berlin Airlift’s Uncle Wiggly Wings, Williams has garnered recognition as a published author whose storytelling vividly brings her father’s World War II-era kindness to life. Since co-founding the Foundation in 2016, she has channeled her cultural insight, artistic sensibility, and narrative skill to amplify Gail Halvorsen’s message of service, gratitude, and the transformative effect of small acts of compassion.
